HONK! Fest West 2013, Seattle’s free festival celebrating street band culture with fanfare performances, will be taking the streets and parks by horn, drum, and HONK!er on June 20th, 21st, 22nd, and 23rd.

The Dead shall Rise on Thursday, June 20th. It’s REVENGE OF THE BAND NERDS II – a benefit for Honk Fest West and OFFICIAL PRE-PARTY for Fremont Fair… get your tickets, cause the parking lot WILL fill up w/ Environmental Encroachment, Church Marching Band, Passion Bucket, Mighty Tiny, and Chaotic Noise Marching Corps!

On Friday, June 21st, HONK! Fest West returns to the corner of Vale and Airport Way in Georgetown from 6 p.m. – 10 p.m. Music continues until midnight inside The Mix (21+).

Saturday, June 22nd, HONK! Fest West is excited to partner with the Fremont Arts Council and the Solstice Parade! We are pleased to be a part of Solstice Parade’s 25th year in the streets of Fremont, before traveling on to Gas Works Park for an afternoon of musical revelry amidst and astride one of the best views of the city and Sound from 3 – 8 p.m.

Sunday, June 23rd, HONK! Presents a revue of all our HONK! Bands at the Seattle Art Museum from 12-3pm! This event is free and open to the public. Then follow us down to the Columbia City Theatre at 7pm for a wrap party and jam session with anybody left standing.

Mark your calendars now. We want to see you shambling with us in the streets.

Jennifer Chenoweth: Sacred Spaces

We’re dead set on supporting the arts, so the Dead Music Capital Band is thrilled to play during Jennifer Chenoweth’s art opening on Tuesday, taking place at the Dougherty Art Center. Sacred Spaces explores the movement of the human body through architectural sculpture and gestural mark-making.

Wonder Space Carnival

Live music, comedy, burlesque, contortion artists, and carnie games!

Your favorite (f)undead marching band will once again be rising from their graves to play the tunes that will rattle your bones… so come on out to the Wonder Space Carnival at Spiderhouse. Dead Music Capital Band goes on at 3pm, but get there early to hear other great music as well!

Then come on down to the Palmer Events Center to see your favorite back-from-the-grave band play their hearts out (literally). Ah, spring is in the air, the flowers are in bloom, and the birds are singing… just as the earth starts to break apart and expose the Dead Music Capital Band as it ramps up for another appearance at the Violet Crown Arts Festival!

We are excited to join many other artists at Brentwood Park for the 2013 Arts Festival, which will take place on May 4th between 11am and 6pm. Your favorite (f)undead band will be taking the stage at 2pm, so shake off your topsoil and come on out to dance once again to the tunes that will rattle your bones!

It’s almost here, the festival that brings awesome bands from all over the country to Austin, TX. The Dead Music Capital Band is proud to be playing it’s second year in the annual HONK!TX festival, it should be a rockin’ good time!

Brass Showcase

Your favorite (f)undead band is back in action, this Friday, March 2nd at Hotel Vegas!

We’ll be joining the Minor Mishap Marching Band at 7pm for a fun and free show benefiting HONK! fest in Boston, so put on your dancing shoes and come hear the tunes of some of Austin’s finest brass marching bands.

Just in case you didn’t get your fill of the Dead Music Capital Band in New Orleans, or for some reason you didn’t go to New Orleans to see us, your favorite (f)undead band will be playing this Sunday, Feb. 10, at Banger’s on Rainey Street. We’ll be kicking off the fun at 4:30pm, so come on out and get your booty shake on with the Dead Music Capital Band Banger’s will even be having an Alligator, Swamp Rat, and Wild Boar Roast, so come hungry!
