Violet Crown Invasion 2013
Ah, spring is in the air, the flowers are in bloom, and the birds are singing… just as the earth starts to break apart and expose the Dead Music Capital Band as it ramps up for another appearance at the Violet Crown Arts Festival!
We are excited to join many other artists at Brentwood Park for the 2013 Arts Festival, which will take place on May 4th between 11am and 6pm. Your favorite (f)undead band will be taking the stage at 2pm, so shake off your topsoil and come on out to dance once again to the tunes that will rattle your bones!

Honk Is Coming
It’s almost here, the festival that brings awesome bands from all over the country to Austin, TX. The Dead Music Capital Band is proud to be playing it’s second year in the annual HONK!TX festival, it should be a rockin’ good time!
The entire HONK!TX schedule can be found here, but for your convenience, here’s a list of all DMCB appearances:

- Saturday, March 23rd, 1pm at Trudy’s Back Wall

Brass Showcase
Your favorite (f)undead band is back in action, this Friday, March 2nd at Hotel Vegas!
We’ll be joining the Minor Mishap Marching Band at 7pm for a fun and free show benefiting HONK! fest in Boston, so put on your dancing shoes and come hear the tunes of some of Austin’s finest brass marching bands.

More Mardi Mayhem
Just in case you
didn’t get your fill of the Dead Music Capital Band in New Orleans, or for some reason you didn’t go to New Orleans to see us, your favorite (f)undead band will be playing this Sunday, Feb. 10, at Banger’s on Rainey Street. We’ll be kicking off the fun at 4:30pm, so come on out and get your booty shake on with the Dead Music Capital Band Banger’s will even be having an Alligator, Swamp Rat, and Wild Boar Roast, so come hungry!

Honk Fundraiser Show
Mardi Gras starts early this year and HONK!TX wants to bring the Bourbon Street beats to Austin, before the bands march on to New Orleans. The show will feature Minor Mishap Marching Band and yours truly, the Dead Music Capital Band, at Spiderhouse Ballroom on Saturday, February 2nd, 2013. The Mardi Gras Hurrah is the HONK!TX 2013 Fundraiser event, with a New Orlean’s twist! So come out shake yo’ Money Maker at the HONK!TX 2013 Fundraiser this Saturday at the Spiderhouse Ballroom!
All proceeds at the Fundraiser event go toward funding HONK!TX: Austin’s Community Street Band Festival (March 22-24th, 2013) which is FREE to the public and community supported. Earn your beads on the dance floor, while the bands play bass, horns, and brass. The Spiderhouse Ballroom is located at 2906 Fruth St.

On the Road to NOLA
The Dead Music Capital Band is going to Mardi Gras in New Orleans! We will be kicking off a weekend of fun and excitement starting on Friday January 25th at the Krewe of Chewbacchus Pre-Party to be held at The Big Top. All ages are welcome, and there’s a discount on the cover if you come in costume!
The following day, your favorite undead band will march in the 3rd annual Chewbacchus parade, featuring the original wookie, Mr. Peter Mayhew! After the parade, you will get another chance to see and hear the Dead Music Capital Band play at the Chewbacchanal taking place in the old Habitat ReStore Warehouse. This party is guaranteed to be out of this world!
