The Dead Music Capital Band is once again invading the streets of New Orleans and bringing our brassy sound from six feet down to the 2015 Intergalactic Krewe of Chewbacchus parade.
This year, the parade will be led by Saint Peter Mayhew, Queen Angie Mayhew, and Pope Andy Richter. The Pope will be filming for the Conan show on TBS, so keep an eye out for the worlds most (f)undead band!
HONK!TX IS TURNING 5! That’s right, FIVE YEARS of HONK! in Austin with the support of your beautiful faces. So get your booty to Spider House to get down to the brassy, boisterous stylins of local brass acts:
Dead Music filmed our own Crammy Tiny Desk Concert earlier this month. Cubicles, fluorescent lighting, a bitchin’ KUT coffee mug–what more could a (f)undead brass band need?
The “Swingin’ Sound From 6 Feet Down” crammed almost all of our members into the Wheatsville Co-op offices 1/11/15 , performing “Ax Grinder” and more live. Many thanks to the mortals of Wheatsville and Austin Hansen of Exit Flag Photography. We promised Mr. Hansen we would eat him last if he could capture us at our workplace best–he certainly made us picture perfect!
Austin humans- HERE COMES KRAMPUS- 2 chances this Saturday to hear Dead Music Capital Band‘s Xmas Scarols LIVE or unLIVE as the case may be. Violet Crown Arts Festival from 1:30pm-2pm and later in the evening with details coming later KrampusNacht is real! We’ll be tromping around playing our songs and throwing naughty people into our sack for later consumption. Don’t miss out, children!
We know you haven’t forgotten about the Halloween parade, but the fun doesn’t stop there. The day after Halloween, the (f)undead will be playing at Oasis Texas Brewing Company for their Dia de los Muertos celebration!

Once again, Halloween is upon us, and this year we are taking things under water. This year’s theme is The Drowned World, so don your nautical gear and join in on the fun!
Produced in partnership with Honk! TX, this year’s parade is an exploration of a watery existence, warped by the crushing depths of the Dead Green Sea. The DMCB Halloween Mega-Band will lead the procession through East Austin. After the parade, the Krewe will return to the Gypsy Lounge for a post-parade show to benefit HONK! TX featuring brass-kicking sets from Dead Music Capital Band, Yes Ma’am Brass Band, Minor Mishap Marching Band, and more.
8:00pm – Meet the Krewe for pre-parade libations and revelry at GypsyLounge
9:00pm – Parade thru East Austin with KreweDCM and the Halloween Mega-Band incarnation of Dead Music.
…and then – Parade returns to Gypsy Lounge for post-procession celebration, drinks and dancing at the Honk! TX Halloween Funraiser.
